PM Modi to Flag Off Barauni-Bhuj Amrit Bharat Express on October 30
PM Narendra Modi is scheduled to flag off the Barauni-Bhuj Amrit Bharat Express on October 30. Covering 2,532 km across four states, the train will operate three days a week, with a journey time of around 61 hours.
The new service will pass through Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat, providing passengers with another rail connection between the regions. The Railway Ministry had approved the train's operation on September 25, and Prime Minister Modi is now scheduled to inaugurate the service.
According to the proposed schedule, the train will depart from Bhuj every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. From Barauni, it will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, connecting the two destinations through a long-distance rail service.
The Barauni-Bhuj Amrit Bharat Express will depart from Barauni at 11.55 pm and arrive in Bhuj at 1.15 pm. The journey in one direction will take approximately 61 hours and 20 minutes, meaning passengers will spend around two and a half days travelling the 2,532-kilometre route.
The new train is expected to offer several passenger facilities, including air-conditioned coaches, comfortable seating and particular attention to cleanliness. Special arrangements will also be made for passenger safety. The service will be equipped with modern technology intended to improve the overall travel experience.
The introduction of the Barauni-Bhuj Amrit Bharat Express is expected to strengthen rail connectivity between Bihar and Gujarat. In addition to making travel between the two states more convenient, the service is expected to support trade and tourism by providing another transport option for passengers travelling between the regions.
The train is also being positioned as part of efforts to strengthen the railway network and improve access between different parts of the country. By connecting destinations across four states, the service will provide a direct long-distance rail link for travellers along its route.
The Railway Ministry has also outlined plans to introduce more trains in the future, with the aim of connecting different parts of the country and making rail travel more convenient. The launch of the Barauni-Bhuj Amrit Bharat Express on October 30 is expected to add another connection to the railway network, with passenger facilities and inter-state connectivity forming key aspects of the new service.
